SKU: PF-AA-WATER

0.6% acetic acid in sterile water. For research use only; not for human consumption.

What is AA Water?

AA Water is sterile water containing 0.6% acetic acid, producing a mildly acidic diluent. Certain lyophilized research peptides are poorly soluble at neutral pH and reconstitute more readily in a mildly acidic solution, which is why an acetic acid diluent is selected for those preparations instead of bacteriostatic water.

It is supplied sterile filtered in a 30 ml glass vial with a rubber stopper and flip-off cap. The acetic acid here acts as a solvent, not as a preservative: unlike the benzyl alcohol in bacteriostatic water, it is not added to support repeated withdrawals from the same vial.

Store at room temperature (15–25 °C), away from direct sunlight, and do not freeze. Because this solution is unpreserved, use aseptic technique when aliquoting and discard any unused portion rather than relying on a multi-use window. Discard if the solution becomes cloudy or discolored. This product is intended for laboratory research purposes only and is not for human use.

How should AA Water be stored?

AA Water is supplied as a sterile liquid solution in a multi-dose vial.

Store refrigerated (2–8 °C), away from direct light, and do not freeze. Draw with sterile technique.

Discard if the solution becomes cloudy, discolored, or shows visible particulates.
